Building a Civilization for Humanity in the AI Age.
Rome, Italy.
Convened by the Boston Global Forum and AIWS · Founding Preparatory Meeting
«Consultation and interdisciplinary working group on AI World Society today: governance, expectations, ethics»
"The AI Age requires more than rules for machines. It requires a civilization worthy of the human person."
Rome brings humanity's moral and spiritual inheritance. Boston brings scientific leadership, civic innovation, and constitutional architecture. Together, they can help shape an AI Age grounded in human dignity, peace, freedom, responsibility, and wisdom.
The November 3 Boston–Rome Co-Creation Meeting is the founding preparatory meeting of a broader gathering planned for 2027 in Rome with the academic, public, private and religious worlds. Its purpose is to move the global conversation beyond the management of technology toward the creation of a civilization for humanity in the AI Age.
Two cities. Two legacies. One shared vision for the AI Age.
It carries one of humanity's deepest traditions of moral reflection, human dignity, peace, faith, education, culture, and responsibility across generations. It provides a place where the power of AI can be judged against the enduring worth of the human person.
A global center of science, universities, the tradition of self-government, technological innovation, and public leadership. It is the birthplace of AIWS and the first AIWS Co-Creation City, where the architecture of AIWS Civilization is being developed.
Boston–Rome Co-Creation can unite moral depth with intellectual and technological leadership, creating a durable axis through which principles become institutions, and innovation becomes service to humanity.
Affirm the primacy and dignity of the human person in every consequential use of AI.
Bring AIWS Civilization into dialogue with Catholic social thought, interfaith wisdom, classical humanism, constitutional self-government, and frontier science.
Prepare the 2027 Rome Gathering and establish its moral, intellectual, and institutional agenda.
Connect Rome and Boston as anchor cities of AIWS Civilization and the AIWS Lumina Cities network.
Launch practical cooperation on the Constitution for Humanity in the Age of AI, AIWS Trust Infrastructure, education, culture, peace, and Human–AI Co-Creation.
The Nkemnkia Foundation (NCDEIF), together with the Boston Global Forum and AIWS, in collaboration with the Pontifical Gregorian University — Centre for Interreligious Studies, Section on Christianity and the religions and cultures of Africa — and the University for Peace (UPEACE), Italian Session, organising partner.
